2011 Pinot Noir, Mendocino County
This Pinot Noir comes from three appellations including inland Potter Valley, which farms grapes grown in warm days and cool nights, and our Anderson Valley Estate Vineyard, with its cooler climate tempered by the Pacific Ocean. This combination of fruit, nurtured by our winemakers’ expertise, provides complex depth and balance to the Mendocino County 2011 Pinot Noir.
Aromas of raspberry, cherry, and cranberry along with intriguing hints of cappuccino, toffee, and crème brulée are followed with flavors of cherry, strawberry, and pomegranate and hints of chocolate and violet on the finish. Smooth and silky with bright acidity makes this a perfect wine to serve with pork dishes (imagine a roast Porchetta with cabbage), or even BBQ ribs.
